Professional materials in the collection date from 1951 to 1970 and include files pertaining to Boston University (BU) annual reports, admissions, academic programs, commencement ceremonies, enrollment reports, financial aid reports, research development plans, reports produced by research projects, and building expansion projects. Also included are Methodist Church leadership information, directories, and meeting minutes, as well as Dillard University proposals and meeting minutes.
Printed materials in the collection date from 1929 to 1960 and include journals, magazines, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, bulletins, programs, and a BU songbook.
Manuscripts in the collection date from 1951 to 1962 and include speeches, essays, sermons, and other items written by Case and colleagues.
Correspondence in the collection dates from 1951 to 1962 and includes professional letters regarding student life on BU campus, prospects for deanship at BU, salary increases during Case’s presidency at BU, student admissions to the BU School of Theology, and other topics.
Personal memorabilia in the collection dates from 1957 to 1970 and includes business cards, scrapbooks, plaques, a wooden cross, keys to the city of Baltimore, academic certificates, and honorary degrees from several colleges and universities.
Photographs in the collection are primarily black and white prints of Case and his colleagues in both academia and the Methodist Church. Also included are personal photos featuring Case during a trip to Greece.
Financial materials in the collection date from 1949 to 1962 and include budget summaries, pension plans, and tax forms.
