Beston, Henry (1888-1968)
Scope:
The Henry Beston collection consists of manuscripts and correspondence.
Manuscripts in the collection are three stories, rewritten by Beston for Henry Beston’s Fairy Tales . The stories are “Prince Sneeze,” which was first written for a class at Harvard and originally appeared in The Firelight Fairy Book (Atlantic Monthly Press, 1919); “The Invisible Baby,” which also originally appeared in The Firelight Fairy Book ; and “The Palace of Night,” which originally appeared in The Starlight Wonder Book (Atlantic Monthly Press, 1923).
Correspondence in the collection consists of two autograph letters from Beston to a Mrs. Hannigan; one is undated, the other dated June 25, 1925.
