Scope:
The Deborah Voigt collection consists primarily of files containing printed material, memorabilia, professional material, a few photographs, and some correspondence.

This material dates from 1987 to 2004, and is arranged in chronological order. Also present is a scrapbook containing programs, fliers, photos and other items from Voigt’s early career; this material dates from ca. 1979 to 1986.

Printed material in the files includes programs for Voigt’s performances, including Elektra, Un Ballo in Maschera, Gurreleider, Ariadne auf Naxos, La Forza del Destino, Die Walk're, Les Troyens, Lohengrin, Die Frau ohne Schatten, Tosca, Salome, and others.

Also present are many clippings from American newspapers and magazines. The clippings are mostly articles about Voigt, her performances, her recording career, her appearances at events across the and the world, notices of Voigt winning awards, and some interviews.
