Fowle, Farnsworth (1915-2016)
Scope:
The Farnsworth Fowle collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, and other items.

Manuscripts in the collection include an inventory written by Fowle; translations of Turkish news articles written between September 1939 and April 1940; dispatches and broadcasts for Time, CBS, the International News Service, Newsweek, and other news groups and government agencies; lectures given in 1946 during a tour of CBS stations in the United States; articles written for the New York Times and other publications; and other items.

The collection includes correspondence, both personal and professional, written between 1937 and 1981. Correspondents of note include Edward R. Murrow, Winston Burdett, Allen A. Michie, Joseph R. Harsch, Richard Hottelet, George Polk, C.L Sulzberger, Francis Brown, J.W. Fulbright, and Max Frankel.

Printed materials include maps of Europe and the South Pacific, pamphlets, journals, press cards, passports, clippings of articles from Germany and Turkey, as well as from American publications.

Other items include photographs, memorabilia, and financial materials.
