Gregor, Arthur (1923-2013)
Scope:
The Arthur Gregor collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, and other materials. 

The collection includes manuscripts in preparation for Selected Poems, as well as drafts of Songs of Belonging, The Power of Art, Love Poems, The Past Now, and A Walk Along the River Charles.

Other items include miscellaneous prose (1953-54), working drafts of Between Sleep and Walking (a play), and unpublished and unfinished poems and plays ranging from the 1940s to 1970s.
 
Collected correspondence is often literary. Some letters regard the publication of poems in Crazy Horse and The New Yorker while others pertain to published books and exchanges with Doubleday. Notables include Howard Moss, James Dickey, and Seymour Lawrence.

Printed materials in the collection consist of reviews, newspaper clippings, book covers, and proofs Figure in the Door, A Bed By the Sea, and others. Also present are various publications in which Gregor’s work appeared, such as The Sewanee Review, The Nation, The New Yorker, Harper’s, Sports Illustrated, Poetry, Kenyon Review, and Poetry. A list of authors handled by Gregor as a senior editor at Macmillan is collected, as well.

Other items include copyright transfers, a 1945 yearbook from Newark College of Engineering, and early poems published under the pseudonym Arthur Har Sahav.
