The Jim Henaghan (Archie O’Neill) collection consists of manuscripts and printed material.
Manuscripts by Henaghan in the collection include drafts of his novels The Book of Gold; The Da Vinci Rose (Bantam, 1973); The Ginzburg Circle (Bantam, 1974); Little Birds with Broken Wings (opening chapters and story outline); The Locked Piano; and The Run For Vicente Rodrigues.
Other manuscripts by Henaghan include a teleplay titled Madigan’s Legacy; three screenplays, General Hospital, The Great American Snatch, and One Hundred Grand for Helga; story treatments of scripts titled Saigon (1946) and Torch Song (1946); and biographical material about Henaghan.
Printed material collection consists of the printed versions of various short pieces by Hengahan. These include his “Rambling Reporter” column for The Hollywood Reporter (1961); three editorials for his “Henaghan’s World” column (1971); and various other editorials and articles in various magazines (1950, 1951, 1961, 1970).
