Jacobs, Alexander (1927-1979)
The Alexander Jacobs collection includes screenplays, correspondence, personal memorabilia, printed materials, audio materials, film and video, and photographs.

Screenplays in the collection include The Sanctuary Man, Sitting Target, The Skin Walkers, The Seven Ups, The Trustee, The Birth of the Beatles, B.W. Colt, Rulebreaker, Demolished Man, The Iceman, The French Connection II, An Enemy of the People, The Godfather III, A Piece of the Action, The Ninth Man, The Diamond Thing, Eve All Alone, The Loner, Runaway Train, and others. Screenplays are occasionally collected with various drafts, outlines, proposals, notes, and correspondence.

The collection includes professional correspondence, consisting largely of Sanctuary Man letters (1967-1997). Of particular note is correspondence from Don Simpson to Michael Eisner regarding Godfather III.

The collection includes an award from the Writers Guild of America – Best Written Drama for Screen, presented to Jacobs for French Connection II (1975).

Printed materials are constituted by Suzie Mackenzie’s "Two of a Kind" article (regarding Lee Marvin’s Hell in the Pacific) and a thriller article.

An audio cassette contains a recording filed under "AJ in OSH, Wed. Nite, 4/18/79."

A VHS cassette documents two of Jacobs’s appearances with Bill Siska on "Cinema 7."
