Kane, Henry (1918-1988)
The Henry Kane collection includes correspondence and printed materials.

Collected correspondence consists of an exchange with William Ruehlmann (1974, typescript).

Printed materials document Kane's production of short stories and books, including those published under pseudonym Anthony McCall. Kane's short stories appeared in both domestic and foreign publications, such as The Saturday Evening Post, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Il Giallo Mondadori, Escapade, and Segretissimo. Collected editions include "I'm No Hero," "A Glass of Milk," "Armchair in Hell," "Suicide is Scandalous," "Hang By Your Neck," "Edge of Panic," "If You Cheat, I'll Go Crooked," and "Lost Epilogue." Tearsheets of Kane's stories from the Saturday Evening Post and Esquire (framed) constitute additional printed items.

The collection also includes an extensive catalogue of Kane's books (1948-1971), including Armchair in Hell, Conceal and Disguise, Corpse for Christmas, The Crumpled Cup, The Cuban Heel, The Dangling Man, Death for Sale, Dead in Bed, Death of a Dastard, The Devil to Pay, Don't Call Me Madame, Edge of Panic, A Halo for Nobody, Nobody Loves a Loser, Operation Delta, Report for a Corpse, Run for Doom, Snatch an Eye, Trilogy in Jeopardy, Trinity in Violence, Unholy Trio, The Virility Factor, and more. Of particular interest are German, Italian, and Japanese editions of Kane's work.
