Collected short story manuscripts include “Big Deal in the Attic” and “An Expatriate in Heaven.”
Collected screenplays and teleplays include The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Getting Straight, The Court of Last Resort: The John Smith Case, and Channing: Wave Goodbye to our Fair-Haired Boy. Also present are a number of episodes for Dragnet, Dr. Kildare, The Rifleman, Hawaii Five-O, The Wild Wild West, and Columbo.
Correspondence in the collection consists of Kolb’s professional exchanges with Esquire, Columbia Broadcasting System, Playboy Books, and Scribner’s. Additional correspondence (1965-83) includes Kolb’s personal letters with figures such as Alfred Grossman, Kristin C. Sabo, Richard Stout, and Gene Thompson.
Printed materials include short stories and tearsheets from Ladies Home Journal, Rogue, Atlantic Monthly, Male Magazine, Esquire, Collier’s, and Redbook. Also present are issues of Green Mountain Gazette, TV Genre, and Redbook, alongside reviews and an advertisement for Getting Straight.
Legal materials of interest include “Report of the Citizens Committee for Schools” and “Grand Jury of Plumas County, 1970” (with court transcript).
