Le Clezio, J.M.G. (1940- )
Scope:
The J. M. G. Le Clezio collection consists of seventeen drafts of short stories and other short pieces, in Le Clezio’s hand.  They range in length from one to eleven leaves total, and date from 1955 to 1965 (seven are undated).  Several were published in Le Clezio’s collection La Fievre(Gallimard, 1965), including “Le Fievre,” “Arriere,” and “Martin.”  Other titles include “Sur Proust,” “Un Tour de Vieillesse,” “Allors Je Journal Trouver la Paix et le Sommeil,” “Tarry et le Livre Nobal,” “Descrets,” “Portrait-Rectangle,” “Bagne,” “Pays de Violents,” and “En Bas Vers la Mort.”  Also present are two photographs of Le Clezio and three ink drawings.
