Luboshutz, Pierre (1891-1971) and Genia Nemenoff (1905-1989)
The Pierre Luboshutz and Genia Nemenoff collection consists of printed material, photographs, and other material.

Printed material in the collection includes several programs of recitals (1941-1965), program notes (1945-1961), announcements of recitals (1936-1964), newspaper clippings, primarily reviews of performances (1937-1980), serial publications (1954-1965), and publicity material, including several advertisements (flyers, leaflets, brochures, etc.) and press material annotated by Nemenoff.

Photographs in the collection include images of Luboshutz and Nemenoff receiving honorary Doctor of Music degress from the Portland School of Music (1948); two photos of Luboshutz and Nemenoff at the Mozart Piano Festival; a portrait of Luboshutz by photographer Yousuf Karsh; and a portrait of Nemenoff.

Other material in the collection includes a handwritten score of a 2-piano arrangement of Rossini’s “Largo al Factotum” from Il Barbiere di Siviglia, by Steven Kovacs; a printed score of a piano-and-voice arrangement of “Himno Nacional de Cuba,” by Pedro Figueredo; correspondence; a tour itinerary, annotated by Nemenoff; a program of events for the Camden-Rockport Bicentennial, 1971, with handwritten notes by Nemenoff regarding Luboshutz’s last days; notebooks; scrapbooks; business material; and other items.
