McIntosh, John (1930-1970)
Scope:
The John McIntosh collection includes manuscripts and printed material.
Manuscripts include novels and short stories. Novels include Blood Brothers (Anthony Blond, 1965); the unpublished novel Violet Gives a Party; Come to my House (Harcourt, Brace 1968); The Thorn Trees (Harcourt, Brace 1967); and The Stonefish (Harcourt, Brace and World, 1970). Short stories consist of a collection of short stories written by McIntosh in 1967 collected in four handwritten notebooks and Nobody Could Tell We Were There (New South African Writing, 1967).
Printed material include a C.N.A. Literary Award Banquet Program from 1972, when McIntosh posthumously won the award for The Stonefish, and news stories regarding the award.
