Morrison, Peggy [March Cost] (1897-1973)
Scope:
The Peggy Morrison collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, and photographs.

Manuscripts in the collection include various drafts of Morrison's novels, all written under the pseudonym "March Cost." Titles include The Dark Glass (1935); The Hour Awaits (1952); By the Angel, Islington (1955); After the Festival (1966); The Veiled Sultan (1969); A Key to Laurels (1972); and others dating from 1932 to 1972. Also included are many short stories published in Period Pieces (1966); Morrison's notes for her novels and short stories; articles and a review by March Cost; lectures and speeches dating between 1948 and 1956, and undated; as well as manuscripts regarding March Cost by others.

Correspondence in the collection includes some personal letters from 1947.

Printed materials in the collection include reviews and ads for Morrison's work; a biography of her (1958), and news clippings for research (1955).

Photographs in the collection include portraits of Morrison from the 1930s to the 1960s, and photos of her home and novels.
