Morrow, E. Frederic (1906-1994)
Scope:
The E. Frederic Morrow collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, photographs, and other materials.

Manuscripts in the collection consist of many of Morrow’s speeches about Civil Rights dated between 1952 and 1966.

Correspondence in the collection is extensive, including nearly 2000 letters to and from Morrow dating from 1950-1963. Correspondents are mainly government officials; notable correspondents include Sherman Adams, Archie Moore, Maxwell Rabb, Lewis Strauss, and Roy Wilkins.

Printed materials include newspaper and magazine clippings about Morrow dating between 1956 and 1964.

Photographs in the collection include photographs of Morrow in his office and a framed photograph of Morrow with President Eisenhower.

Other materials in the collection consist of material relating to Morrow’s travel as an official White House representative (1959), and White House travel vouchers dated between 1957 and 1960.
