Nugent, Frank S. (1908-1965)
The Frank Nugent collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed materials, professional materials, photographs, and other materials.

Manuscripts in the collection include many of Nugent's screenplays, such as War Poetry, The Searchers, The Faceless Man, The Last Hurrah, Alice in Wonderland, Three Leaves of a Shamrock, The Purple Heart, and The Quiet Man.

Correspondence in the collection includes both personal and professional letters, as well as an envelope of fan letters. Notable correspondents include Samuel Goldwyn, William Dozier, Walt Disney, Jeanette MacDonald, George Antheil, Ruth Gordon, and Norman Taurog.

Printed material in the collection includes stories, magazine and newspaper clippings, poems, articles, and speeches, many of which are labelled by Nugent. Also included is a folder labelled “New York Times Pieces” with material dated between 1939 and 1944, and envelopes of newspaper clippings by Nugent, dated between 1935 and 1940.

Professional materials in the collection include numerous subject folders for his various screenplays, and a folder containing material from Nugent's time employed at 20th Century Fox.

Photographs in the collection consist of 8 stills from Three Godfathers.

Other materials in the collection include a 1925 yearbook from Regis High School and a scrapbook of Nugent's.
