Reit, Seymour (1918-2001)
Scope:
The Seymour Reit collection consists of printed material, research material, photographs, manuscripts, correspondence, financial material, and memorabilia.

Printed material in the collection includes published advertisements for the novel Masquerade featured in the publications Science Digest, National Review, Book Sale, Christian Science Monitor, and Books from Hawthorn in 1978; editors proofs for The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa; Reader's Digest articles "The Theft of Mona Lisa" (1983) and "Sellecciones del Reader's Digest" (1983); and various other reviews and articles.

Research material consists of material for the book The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa, including articles "Agnes Mongan Interview, Fogg Art Museum" and "Art Restoration."  There is also general unspecified research material for Masquerade.

Photographs in the collection include negatives regarding Masquerade, photos about the books Masquerade and The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa, and a collection of photos labeled "Masquerade-Photo Data, Photo Captions, Copy Negatives."

Manuscripts in the collection consists of The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa (1979) and several screenplay drafts for "The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa" (1990) movie.

Correspondence in the collection include professional letters regarding The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa.
