The Cliff Robertson collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, printed material, photographs, and other items.
Manuscripts in the collection include the script for the play The V.I.P. (1981) and a teleplay for the series The Lyon’s Den; items written by Robertson include speeches, poems, and autobiographical prose.
Correspondence includes professional letters (1986-2003) and personal letters (1995-1998). Notable correspondents include Jimmy Carter, Elia Kazan, David Rockefeller, and Danielle Steele.
Printed material in the collection includes magazines with articles about Robertson’s career and hobbies; newspaper clippings; and a Playbill from the Lakes Region Playhouse (New Hampshire) production of Bus Stop, signed by Robertson; and programs for several of Robertson’s speaking engagements.
Photographs in the collection include images of Robertson as well as James Brown, George H. W. Bush, and John Glenn.
Other items include contracts and a video cassette recording of an interview of Robertson by Bernice R. Speen (1991).
