Roget, Elizabeth (1900-1990)
Scope:
The Elizabeth Roget Collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, and professional material.

Manuscripts consist of the drafts of Roget's novels Shagbark Hill (1970) and Your Move, as well as other short fragments of Roget's writing and the manuscript for the Journal of Jules Renard (1964), a work translated by Roget and Louise Bogan.

Correspondence consists of both professional and personal correspondence, including letters to Trudy Dollen from 1990.

Professional material consists of a series of files organized by Roget on subjects such as her novels, newspaper and magazine publications, the film industry, literary agents, publishers, contemporary authors, and locations including Egypt, Turkey, Switzerland, and Yaddo. Notable subjects include Lousie Bogan, Jo Carson, Miriam deFord, Josephine Johnson, Edith Konecky, Linda Kuehl, Anne Lamott, and May Sarton.
