Rooke, Daphne (1914-2009)
Scope:
The Daphne Rooke Collection consists of manuscripts, printed material, notebooks, and photographs.

Manuscripts include drafts of Rooke's novels Beti (1959), Diamond Jo (1965), The Greyling (1962), and Thafeni Store (1961), as well as her memoir Three Rivers (2003).

Printed material consists of book jackets for Mittie (1953) and Ratoons (1953).

Notebooks include a “Tudor Scribbler” notebook filled with an unidentified short story.

Photographs consist of a black and white photo of Rooke and an African man looking at a spear.
