Sarton, May (1912-1995)
Scope:

The May Sarton collection primarily consists of manuscript drafts of several of Sarton's poems. These items are almost all typed carbon copies, one page long; some include Sarton's handwritten corrections, and some are initialed, signed, and/or dated by Sarton. Dated pieces range from 1950 to 1971. Also present in the collection is a draft of a piece by Helen af Enehjelm titled "Another Way to Write a Bestseller" (1971).

Other items in the collection include letters from Sarton to Eleanor Murdock (eight letters, 1968-1970) and Edith Levy (three letters, 1976); and printed copies of poems by Sarton, sent out each year by her as Christmas gifts (1950-1963).
