The Hugh Schonfield collection consists of manuscripts, printed materials, correspondences, audio and visual materials and photographs.
Manuscripts in the collection consist of several drafts with holograph notes of Schonfield's various writings. The collections are numerous for According to the Hebrews and twelve other books. Also in the collection are several holograph manuscripts of short works, essays, speeches, translations and screenplays.
The collection of printed materials consists of printed articles written by Schonfield and published in different newspapers, journals, and publications. In addition the collection contains an array of materials on the Commonwealth of World Citizens (of which Schonfeild was a founding member), articles and reviews regarding Schonfield and his works, as well as numerous brochures, pamphlets, clippings, promotional materials, business documents, subject files, newsletters, book reviews, and research materials.
Correspondences in the collection consist of general, professional, and personal letters including 2 letters from the assistant to Queen Elizabeth and the U.N. Secretary General
Photographs in the collection largely consist of personal photos taken on several trips to the Middle East and Europe.
Audio and video files in the collection are substantial and consist of recorded lectures and speeches given by Schonfield between 1978 and 1984. The collection of video material includes reel-to-reel tapes and cassettes of Schonfield's various interviews as well as videos from Schonfield's extensive travels.
