Schoyer, Preston (1911-1978)
Scope:
The Preston Schoyer collection contains manuscripts, correspondences, and various research material.

Manuscripts in the collection consist of drafts with holograph notes and outlines for The Indefinite River (1947), The Ringing of the Glass (1950), The Typhoons Eye (1959), The Foreigners (1942) and The Only Lotus.  The collection also contains drafts and printed versions of a few published articles.  

The research material in the collection is comprised of logs, reports and photographs mostly regarding military maneuvers in World War II. Specifically they refer to an American military relief mission to Shanghai.

Correspondences in the collection consist mostly of pieces about China dating from 1939 to 1951; as well as letters to and from Sidney Eaton (1946-1974).
