Seignolle, Claude (1917-2018)
Scope:
The Claude Seignolle collection consists of manuscripts, correspondences, book reviews, photographs and other printed materials relating to the work of this French author.

Manuscripts in the collection consist of several drafts various novels, collections, and short stories. The collection includes L'impossedable (1970), Choix de Contes Fantastiques (1966) and Contes Sorciers (1973) among others.   These works are written in French and contain corrections and notes throughout. The manuscripts in the collection date from 1960 to 1975.

Correspondence in the collection mostly consists of letters between Seignolle and his literary agent Albert van Hagelund (1962-1982). These detail publishing terms and agreements and also contain letters from Hagelund to other publishers regarding Seignolle.

The collection also contains extensive printed materials regarding Seignolle's published work. These include several book reviews and commentaries in French, Dutch, and English. Also included in the collection are illustrations, publicity materials, and a thesis written on Seignolle, as well as other articles and clippings. The collection also contains several photographs of Seignolle at various times, some of which are inscribed.
