The Naomi Burton Stone collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, and other material.

Manuscripts in the collection include drafts, revisions, rejected pages, corrections, and final versions of novels, including Keeping a Spiritual Journal with Thomas Merton (1987), as well as several others. The collection also contains some shorter works including articles, essays, and book reviews, as well as a diary, and several pages of notes and research material.

Correspondence in the collection is extensive and include several items of mainly professional communications between Stone, publishers, editors, and other writers. Notable correspondents include Thomas Merton and John von Druten among others.

Other material in the collection includes printed items and personal memorabilia.
