Walter, Dorothy Blake (1908-1999)
Scope:
The Dorothy Blake Walter collection consists of drafts and page proofs of her novel Night Stands at the Door (Stein and Day, 1974), as well as copies of speeches, radio addresses, and interviews, including several articles for the Red Cross and copies of Vogue magazine articles and features (1939-1942).  Some of these articles and poems appeared in Junior Life, Life and Health, Storytime, and My Bible Story (1953-1966).  The collection also contains corrected typescript manuscripts for 597 poems and 22 stories, along with some tearsheets. There are proofs for "Autumn is Here" and "Living Things Grow," two series with ten books total.

There is limited correspondence dated between 1959-1961.

Books in the collection include Worship Time (1961), inscribed to Boston University, and the Health Science Series for grades one, two, three, and four.
