The William J. Weatherby collection consists of manuscripts and correspondence.
Manuscripts in the collection include a play titled Breaking the Silence (1965), an essay titled “A Second Chance,” and an unpublished manuscript for a novel titled Turn Me Loose. Also included is an article written for The Guardian called “The Long Dark Night of Martin Luther King” and one written for New Society titled “After the Panthers. What Next?” (1970).
Correspondence in the collection includes two letters sent from Weatherby to The New York Times, one of which is undated and one is from 1969. Another letter is from Paul Barker regarding the New Society article in 1970.
