Wellesz, Egon (1885-1974)
Scope:
The Egon Wellesz collection primarily consists of manuscripts drafts and notes of his writings regarding Byzantine music and other ancient music.  Much of this material is in German.  The writings also include several notebooks.  Overall the writings date mostly from the 1930s to the 1960s.  Several printed pieces written by Wellesz are included, primarily reviews.

Also present are a few pieces of correspondence; writings by others; facsimiles used by Wellesz for his research; glass plate negatives; and other items.
