West, Elliot (1924-2003)
Scope:
The Elliot West collection consists of manuscripts and printed material.

Manuscripts by West in the collection include an incomplete draft of Man Running (1959), along with a letter to an editor at Little-Brown (ca. 1958); an incomplete draft of The Night is a Time for Listening (1966), written on a number of notepads, along with a complete draft manuscript, a layout sheet for the title page, and other partial drafts; page proofs for The Killing Kind (1976); multiple drafts of Blanche and Nicky (1985); an unpublished draft of Tainted (ca. 1990); and a draft of West's short story "Bellingham," published in Collier's magazine in 1993.  

Printed material in the West collection includes book jackets and reviews for Man Running (1959); The Night is a Time for Listening (1966); These Lonely Victories (1974); and Blanche and Nicky (1985).
