The New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing (NEBHSON) collection includes manuscripts, printed materials, photographs, correspondence, legal materials, professional materials, memorabilia, and other items.
Manuscripts include two drafts of Guide to Integration of Dietary Clinical Experience in the Nursing Curriculum (1957-1958) by Ruth A. Long and Philomena A. Serpico and one typescript draft of History of NEBH School of Nursing by Thelma Ward (1991).
Printed materials include newsletters, brochures, and booklets, commonly surrounding campus life or materials for prospective students. Prominent among these are student handbook from the late 1940s and the late 1960s, as well as programs and publicity materials for commencement activities from the 1940s and 1970s.
Photographs include class photos from the late 1890s to the 1970s, faculty photographs, graduation photographs, and undated social activities photographs, among other items.
Correspondence in the collection includes communications between NEBH and Johns Hopkins University; commencement invitations; and alumnae correspondence from the late 1950s to the 1990s.
Legal materials in the collection include one contract signed by pupil Lucy Anderson in 1901.
Professional materials in the collection include annual reports from the 1910s through the 1970s.
Memorabilia in the collection includes yearbooks and graduation materials.
Other items include curriculum materials; accounts of the school by notables Albert H. Curtis, Colonel Edward Howard Haskell, and Evelyn Monteith, among others; and various other materials pertaining to campus life.
