Guild of St. Barnabas
The Guild of St. Barnabas for Nurses collection consists of professional material, scrapbooks, printed material, correspondence, manuscripts, and memorabilia.

Professional material includes: National Convention material (1952-1987); annual council meeting agendas (1904-1952, not inclusive); annual reports (1960-1990); St. Barnabas Tour National Convention (1965-1990, not inclusive); charters for the Rhode Island branch and the Orange, New Jersey branch; material regarding the 100th anniversary of the Guild, London, June 11, 1976; meeting minutes from board meetings (1945-1985); an inventory of Guild supplies (1960); organizing resolutions; Treasurer’s reports and cashbooks; constitution and by-laws (1913-1977); national board minutes (1969-1987); national board material in binders (1961-1979); Meeting minutes (1955-1977); Chapter annual reports (1934-1983); directory of members; National Executive Office material; attendance record of Hartford chapter (1901-1955, not inclusive); Secretary's minutes (1892-1979, not inclusive); with copies of Hartford Treasurer's reports (1950-1957); notes from the founding of the Visiting Nurses Association (1901-1905); an address book for the Hartford chapter (1898); constitution and bylaws (1945-1971); Secretary's minutes for the Providence chapter (1919-1920); minutes of various national board meetings (1964-1986); membership list (1950); material regarding travel (1966-1990); and other items.

Scrapbooks in the collection date from 1903 to 1968.

Printed material in the collection includes: pamphlets for publicity; brochures; the national directory; newspaper clippings; newsletters (1921-1971); programs for meetings; prayer book for Guild nurses; various programs regarding the Hartford chapter (1917-1982); The Beacon, national newsletter (1963-1986, 1973-1991); and other items.

Correspondence in the collection includes general letters (1960s-1980s); correspondence with National Secretary Nancy Hurst; correspondence with Rev. Clinton R. Jones; and letters to and from various members of the Hartford branch (1950-1973, 1975-1986).

Memorabilia includes nursing medals; stamps; a dinner bell; pins; National Convention memorabilia; blanket with pictures set into it for a presentation on "missionary locations"; and other items.

Other material in the collection include miscellaneous printed items, photographs, and financial material.
