Nimoy, Leonard (1931-2015)
The Leonard Nimoy collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, personal memorabilia, printed materials, professional materials, photographs, legal and financial materials, audio materials, film and video materials, and electronic media materials.

Manuscripts in the collection include Nimoy’s books We are all Children Searching for Love (1977), and I Guess I’m Just an Old-Fashioned Space Man (An Anthology of Poetry on Life and Love) (1983). Also included are various sheet music and lyrics, photocopied drafts of poems published in We are all Children Searching for Love, "In Search of Great Loves Wrote and Directed" from 1980, many sheets of notes, song ideas, thoughts, and untitled works, stage plays and teleplays such as Vincent, radio and television voiceover scripts, and biographical essays about Nimoy by various authors.

Correspondence in the collection includes radio station correspondence, Star Trek correspondence, political correspondence, and other professional correspondence. Notable correspondents include Gene Roddenberry, John Phillips, Saul Turtletaub, Bernie Orenstein, Isaac Asimov, and J. Edgar Hoover.

Personal memorabilia in the collection includes Star Trek memorabilia, greeting cards, invitations, and nominations, Emmy nomination material dated between 1967 and 1969, Nimoy’s passport dated from 1980 to 1985, Nimoy’s Master of Education degree from Antioch College in 1977, a photocopy of Nimoy’s high school yearbook, show props, invitations, and bookmarks for Vincent, a proclamation of "Leonard Nimoy Day" in the city of Los Angeles signed in 1985, and a replica of Nimoy’s Hollywood star on the "Walk of Fame."

Printed materials in the collection include clippings and photocopies of interviews, publicity, articles, and promotional photographs. Also included are brochures, programs, booklets, and posters, many of which are promotional materials.

Professional materials in the collection include materials from Nimoy’s acting studies; photographic prints of Nimoy; production materials; play returns; school records and report cards; stage plans and drawings; artwork; sheet music; Star Trek memorabilia; memorandums; research materials; and script notes; press releases; itineraries and schedules; call sheets; and other materials.

Photographs in the collection include many prints of Nimoy at public and promotional appearances, in family publicity photos, with costars and friends, in publicity shots, in various stills from Star Trek and other works, in personal photographs, and in many other portraits and prints. Material is dated from the 1930s to the 2000s.

Legal and financial materials in the collection include contracts and licenses for Nimoy’s musical endeavors, the original Star Trek series contract and later amendments, and materials regarding Nimoy’s production of Vincent. Materials are dated between 1965 and 1983.

Audio materials in the collection include recordings dated between 1967 and 1983, mostly 7ʺ 45 rpms, as well as audio cassette tapes including the I am Spock audiobook narrated by Nimoy from 1997, and his song "You are Not Alone."

Film and video materials in the collection include video cassettes of the Star Trek films and a few other movies starting Nimoy, as well as digital video discs regarding both Star Trek and Vincent.

Electronic media materials in the collection consist of a Leonard Nimoy PowerPoint disc.
