Paddington Comes to BU: The Archive of Michael Bond
This three-case exhibition explored the life and career of the creator of the popular Paddington Bear series, author Michael Bond. The exhibition featured photographs, original drafts of book chapters, news articles and fan letters sent to Mr. Bond & Paddington. The exhibition also showcased a number of pop-up Paddington Bear books and original storyboards from The Adventures of Paddington Bear television series.
Named after Paddington Station in London, Bond's Paddington has become a classic character in children's literature. His books have been translated into 30 languages across 70 titles selling more than 30 million copies worldwide. On November 28, 2014, the film adaption, Paddington, was released to both critical acclaim and box office success.
