James Carroll: Writer and Columnist
This three-case exhibition explored the life and career of award-winning author, Boston Globe columnist, and former BU chaplain James Carroll.
The exhibition focused on Mr. Carroll's work as a columnist, featuring handwritten and typed drafts of op-ed pieces from both the Boston Globe and the New York Times. These pieces reflect on a number of different issues, such as Christianity, faith, war, politics, science, and social and cultural changes. The exhibition also showcases his writing, featuring original copies of his memoir, An American Requiem: God, My Father and the War that Came Between Us, as well as and his fifth novel 1986's Prince of Peace. His most recent book, 2014's Christ Actually: The Son of God in the Secular Age, was also on display.
This exhibition is no longer on view.
