Elie Wiesel: Champion For Human Rights


This exhibition featured material from author, political activist, human rights advocate, and Nobel Peace Prize-winner Elie Wiesel. The exhibition highlighted Professor Wiesel's life and work; from his early life growing up in Sighet, Romania, through surviving the Holocaust, his early journalism career, the publication and reception of his novel Night, his tenure teaching at Boston University, and his work promoting remembrance and advocating for human rights across the globe. Material on display included special edition books, speech drafts, essays, book manuscripts, photographs, correspondence, newspaper articles, and memorabilia, including original manuscript pages from "Chapitre Zero," an unpublished section of Night.
