The Moment of Crisis #6
Mar. 16, 1958
Mar. 16, 1958. Running time: 30:39. Thurman concludes his series with a continuation of the unknown prophet. He discusses two crises the prophet encounters, one of which occurs in his retirement. A eunuch wanted to join the religious community and was rejected by the people. The prophet was enraged by this and came out of retirement. The crisis led the prophet to take a position against the other prophets and devout believers and to reject exclusiveness. Thurman describes the difficulty involved in living in course with God because the link to collective mankind links one to the sufferings of others, just as Jesus felt the pain of mankind.
