May 3, 1963
May 3, 1963. Running time: 13:08. Thurman begins by reading a letter sent to him by the father of a young boy named Timothy. The father asks how he can teach his son what the common man's role is in world affairs and how they can live in such a way to contribute to peace. Thurman asks his listeners to consider how they would respond and to send him their thoughts. He then reads a letter from a mother speaking of her hopes for her child and again asks his listeners how they would respond to Timothy's father. He then goes on to discuss the role of the individual in the world.
