The Search for Meaning
Oct. 26, 1975
The Search for Meaning (24:41). Thurman engages the topic of "searching for meaning in life." He says that it is the nature of the human spirit to try to reduce all of experience into an intelligible form. We locate our own sense of meaning, which, if we violate it, we are thrown out of order. Our inner values start to break down. Our world must make sense both ethically and to our own hearts.
