Jesus and the Disinherited #6: Fear
Mar. 1, 1959
Mar. 1, 1959. Running time: 39:21.This sermon examines the way fear was used by the Roman empire as a means to control the governed populous. The disinherited everywhere fear death because they lack the full protection of their state. The disinherited are in danger of dying without dignity and fear offers them a means of preparation and protection against potential dangers they face. Jesus preached that people should not fear those who would kill the body, but fear God. A person is in greater danger in not devoting their spiritual life to God to ensure eternal peace for the soul.
